This is a former ambulance. The back is all wired up and ready for you to do all the fun cosmetic stuff. Mileage 257,386. It’s a Diesel.
It has working
-Working AC/Heat with a thermostat
-Lots of outlets, storage and a third seat
-Clean good condition in the back
-All the doors work great
-2 exterior power plugs 125V/20A
-seats/belts are in good condition
You could also pull it all out and still have it wired and ready for you to personalize. It’s got two power systems and two separate batteries for the front and back. I’ve replaced the batteries but that’s about it. It runs. It goes about 20mph bc it’s in limp mode which is usually and indicator that the turbo is out but it runs just fine. Tires are decent but I would replace them before going far. Will need to be towed due to limp mode.
I took it to a mechanic to have him give it a once over.
Here is what he told me needs to fixed.
-most of the rubber connections need to be replaced
-belts
-alternator
-possibly the turbo -oil pan
-glo plugs
Motor seems to be in decent condition. Not sure about the transmission, but it did shift ok when I drove it. Just won’t know until it’s out of limp mode.
My parents are having health issues and surgeries and I barely have time to sleep much less work on a project van I’ve been looking for and dreaming about for years to take on the road. I hope you can carry the torch and get this baby on the road.
